The Book and Reading Promotion in Germany


Summary
The subject of this paper is promotion of books and reading in Germany, the country which traditionally pays great attention to the books and reading culture. The book and reading promotion in Germany has been carried out at several levels and falls within the scope of work of many institutions. The most significant institutions and associations involved in books and reading promotion are being mentioned in the paper, while the campaigns and projects that have been regularly organized, ones that have achieved great response of the German public or spread internationally are presented with more data.
