Summary
The paper will show the basic concept of cloud computing. The showcase of the LoCloud project will present implementation of cloud technologies in small cultural heritage institutions. Special attention will be paid to presentation of LoCloud collections as a very good basis for creating digital collections in small and medium-sized cultural heritage institutions. The LoCloud collections are based on the open source software Omeka which has a very good support for the Serbian language. Some other products created during the LoCloud project will also be presented: e-courses (using the Moodle platform) in the field of digitization, micro metadata enrichment services such as geo coding, historical place names, use of controlled vocabularies, tools for collaboration with the Wikimedia Commons and automated tags download from existing websites with digitized collections of cultural heritage.
